Final Blog Post - Summative Response

Thesis: Should people get the H1N1 vaccine, why or why not?

When I first started researching this topic I didn't know very much. After researching this topic for about five months I have learned a lot. Not only from one place, i have read different things from everywhere. There are many good places to get information about swine flu also known as H1N1. The internet is a great place to get information but there are also a lot of people out there that you could ask questions too. For instance for my interview I interviewed my school nurse. She knew a lot more then I thought. You could also ask a local doctor or even someone who has had swine flu. You could ask them a lot of great questions. There were a few things that I wasn't sure about so I put them in my interview questions. I was hoping that my school nurse would know and sure enough she did. She also gave me some additional information that I didn't even ask for which was great. There were many different points that different people made. Such as, some people think that it is bad to get that vaccine because there are so many side effects. Others think think that they should get it to protect themselves against getting the infection. There are many things to think about when getting the vaccine for H1N1. Personally I think that it is a good thing to get it. That is only if you know what your doing. There are certain people that should not get the shot and then do which I don't think is right. Then there are others that can get the vaccine and be perfectly fine, but there scarred to do it.

Response To Interview With Ricki Walts

I did my interview with my school nurse Ricki Walts. I think that it helped me learn a little bit more about the topic H1N1. There were some things that I didn't know before. One of those things was, who should get the vaccine and who shouldn't. There were some pretty interesting facts about that. I agree with everything that was said in the interview. I think that she did a great job to give me a better understanding of what it is all about. Not only did I learn about tha basics of H1N1 also known as swine flu, I also learned about how the school did with fighting against the infection.
