Response To 2009 H1N1 Flu ("Swine Flu") and You - Part Two

I found out some symptoms of H1N1 in the second half of this article and a few other interesting facts but there wasnt very much new stuff. The article kind of repeted its self after a while. There was a lot of helpful hints and tips in this about how to prevent from getting H1N1. There is many more things that you can do to prevent it than just washing your hands. Washing your hands is the number one thing that you can do but thats not all.

  • Emergency Warning Signs
  • In children....
  1. Fast breathing or trouble breathing
  2. Bluish skin color
  3. Not drinking enough fluids
  4. Not waking up or not interacting
  5. Being so irritable that the child does not want to be held
  6. Flu-like symptoms improve but then return with fever and worse cough
  7. Fever with a rash

  • In adults.....
  1. Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  2. Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
  3. Sudden dizziness
  4. Confusion
  5. Severe or persistent vomiting
  • Virus can live on surface for 2-8 hours
  • Can be destroyed by heat 167degress to 212degress
  • Viruses are not spread through food
