Response To H1N1 Flu Vaccine Update - January 20, 2010
Although this article was short, it did have good information. This article talked about how the swine flu is not completly gone yet. I think that is good to know that it comes in waves and that this second wave is slowing down rate now. The rates of illnesses and deaths is down at the mommnet which is a very good thing. Although, H1N1 isn't completly gone yet. They believe that there this is going to be another wave of it. This is scary because you don't know when it's going to come back. I think that this was a very useful article.

- H1N1 flu might be leveling off, but it's not going away
- Even thought the number sof cases is down, serious inllness & deaths are stilling happening
- Seeing more people sick with the flu than we normally do this time of year
- 4.3 million Californians have already been infected with H1N1
- Since Jan. 8, 2010, 14.9 million doses of vaccine have been sent to health care providers in California
- There is 36 million people in California
- Millions have not gotten sick yet or received the vassine and are still at risk of getting the H1N1 flu virus
- Now is a good time to get vaccinated because the vaccine is more widely spread
- Out breaks come in waves
- First wave was in spring and early summer of 2009
- Second wave is declining now
- It is imposible to predict if or when there will be a third
- Very unlikly that it will just completely dissapear
